ARTICLES ABOUT OUR BAITS

Stories and articles about our baits have been appearing in local and national publications.  Naturally, we are proud of these articles just like we are proud of the effectiveness of our baits.

Below are a few of the articles that have been written about JDC Baits.

The Easy Fishing "No-Name Bait" (Editor's note: this is actually about our Bass Bone bait.  The name was changed due to legal considerations.)

I rarely do an article on bait; most of you reader know all about the old stand-byes, but about 3 months ago I was introduced to a bait called the No-Name (Bass Bone - Ed.).  It is a soft Plastic stickbait made by JDC Baits.  It is impregnated with plenty of salt which makes it very weighty.  The bait is very soft, yet tough.  It is about 5 inches long with twin nubbed ends.  It also has wide collars in the center for making the bait stay on the hook longer.  It is a well thought out design incorporating every modification you could ask for in a "standard" stickbait.     Click here for the full article.

JDC Baits Skip-N-Pop Review - Chi-Town Angler, July 2005

The Skip-n-Pop from JDC Inc. is a bait that does exactly what its name says. It’s a new soft plastic topwater shaped like a popper with a collapsible air pocket that closes when the fish inhale the bait thus exposing the hook. It's enjoyable to see engineering affect the outdoors by providing us with better ways to experience it.

The Worm Turns: Anglers have been successfully using plastic worms for decades and not only for bass.  these soft plastic baits have caught everything from trout to muskies, but up until recently were only available in 4 to 10 inch lengths.  Trimming them never worked very well, mainly because you lost the action these baits were intended to provide.

Enter Janice and Darby Comas.  As co-owners of JDC Bait Company, the Darby's developed a soft plastic "super-scented" bait that is not only available in the traditional sizes, but in a 3-inch length as well.

I had the opportunity to use some of the 3-inch worms, along with several other JDC baits at a licensed fishing preserve two weeks ago, and found them to be just as effective on crappie as they were on largemouth bass, trout, and bullhead.

I was particularly impressed with the way the bait moved through the shallows, and how the bass seemed to mouth it longer allowing more time to set the hook.  I was just as impressed with the 3-inch Craw which resembles a baby crawfish and the way it stood up in the water as if it were defending itself.

If you are looking for a good all-purpose bait that's not limited to a certain species, you'd be wise to include the super-soft, super scented JDC 3-inch worm in your tackle box.

Nothing but the very best bass fishing baits are available here.
